These shoes work really well with my leg braces. I got a size up from my foot size to accommodate them, and they fit perfectly with the braces on. The zipper is extremely helpful for sliding the braces into the shoes, and the insoles are removable, so I can lay them over the top of the braces.One thing to be aware of is that they are very stiff when new, and they will knock your ankle bones if you have skinny ankles like mine. I'm hoping they will soften as I break them in.These shoes are very easy to put on and keep my son's foot stable for walkingMy grandson has Angelman Syndrome and these shoes make it so much easier to get shoes on and out the door to school! Great design!! ❤️The zip did nit last. My son wore them for two months and the zip came offBought these for my ten year old to fit over his ankle braces for school. I was very impressed with the durability of the shoes. He has worn them every day of school for the last six months and they just have started show excessive wary which me my son is good. He is very rough on shoes. They covered all the way to the top of his braces so that he could fold the top of his sock over and them not be seen. The zipper made it very easy to get the shoes on and off. Just bought another pair for him to finish the school year with.My 4 year old really likes these! I originally got these for my 2year old who has DAFO orthotics..but they were wayyyyy to big so, I gave them to my 4y.o. instead. He loves them and I think it's because he likes zippers and he likes his independence/ability to do for himself.The show just fell apart. Not worth it . I saw other reviews and thought it would be different for me but I was wrong .I just bought this shoes on May 14 my son don’t used much and now they start tearing off I hope they will last because the price is pretty hight $40 is too much for the quality.
