My Amazon Fire HD 10 (7th generation) started acting up, The device wouldn't charge, I thought that the battery had started to fail. I found out that the USB port would only charge if the cable was manipulated I a specific way. I was going to purchase a new tablet, but decided to try this less expensive option first. I have a friend who was able to open the device and solder I the new port, The device is as good as new. Saved me a bunch of $$.
